Weight loss journey video update

“Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things” (Phil. 3:19).
1 Corinthians 10:14  Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.
Luke 16:13  No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”   (or food, or whatever idol we create)

  1. Slow and steady wins the race! I lost 60# about 12 years ago and have kept it off. You can do it! Maybe not as quickly as you would like, but you have a good attitude and that is half the battle.

I also suffer from joint pain and swelling. The doctors don't have all the answers for me either, but they did find two autoimmune diseases (27 years after symptoms started) and a genetic disease. I do hope and pray you have nothing serious causing your pain and it won't take nearly as long for you to find answers.

I admire your courage in posting these videos. God bless you always, dear Sister.

  2. You are a sweetheart and you are beautiful, inside and out. I've been following your weight loss journey w/interest. I'm another plain sister in Christ. I lost 70+ lbs about 3 yrs ago. I kept it off until just recently, and I'm quite frustrated that I gained about 10 lbs...absolutely determined not to EVER go back--working on that right now, so we're in this together!
Have you tried the walking programs from Leslie Sansone? Youtube has some, just put her name in the search. They are low impact and very adaptable...so if you can't do something, you either do it differently or skip it. I give them lots of credit for my weight loss...(and, my weight gain, suspiciously when I stopped?) Anyway, highly recommended. (Of course I changed my eating habits too.) I allow myself fruit for those times that I just feel like I NEED something. The natural sweetness helps with sugar cravings and the fiber helps tide you over. Just some things that helped me.
God bless you, and keep us updated. ;-)

    Love, Joy
